Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father and mother have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's parents moved her and their children in Mendocino County California when Ryder turned seven. At the time, there were no electric lights. Ryder became an avid reading book because there was no TV. Ryder aged 12 was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. Lucas was let go in 1986, and Ryder who was only 15, landed a role as a leading actor. Ryder was subject to bullying in highschool. Ryder hoped her career as an actor would be able to make a difference. Unfortunately that didn't come to pass. But that didn't stop her making plans for her future. In 1988, it was the year that Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that she got her big break. Ryder continued to be successful in her parts in a variety of films. In 1993 she received two nominations for Academy Awards. One of was for her performance In The Age of Innocence.
