Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been an actress, director, producer, playwright and educator for St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the child of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of productions as a young girl and observing her mother working. In her early years, Anna played in commercials for a number of companies. Then, in November 1999 Anna made the move to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career. She ended up moving in Los Angeles, California, during the decade that followed. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007 and the couple became engaged. Anna, who had converted to Judaism at the time, and Seth Cooperman were wed in the month of December in Fredericton. The couple got married in April 2011 the couple renew their vows in the traditional Jewish ceremony. Bo's same-sex relationship to Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted on CNN's list of the top most viewed Television Couples and named the Top TV Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on the internet grew thanks to the success of the show.
