Adar Gandelsman
Adar Gandelsman was an Israeli model from Israel. She was Miss Israel 2017's runner-up and was awarded the title Miss Universe Israel. Adar took part in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, but she did not place. In the contest, Gandelsman took a selfie with Sarah Idan, Miss Universe Iraq in that year. In December 2017, Idan as well as her family left Iraq in protest at the Iraqi citizens for her taking a picture to take a photo with Miss Israel who had also been a member of the Israel Defense Forces at the time. Gandelsman is from Ashkelon, Israel, and is the daughter of Ashkenazi Jewish parents who immigrated to Israel from Brazil in 1992. [1][2] Adar her name is Hebrew for the Hebrew calendar month.
